A Letter to October

Oh, October. You’re here at last. I’m glad you’re here. Halloween. Spookiness. Festivals. Coziness. The color orange. What else could I ask for? It’s been too long since I last saw you. You haven’t changed one bit. I can’t wait to sit down in front of the T.V. and just feel like a little kid again. Maybe I’ll be too busy to enjoy your days, but I’ll remember you everywhere I go. Trust me. Whether I’m driving down the street or picking up groceries; you’ll be there. This is one thing I can always count on to make me feel better. I hope this year you don’t forget to change the colors of the tree leaves. That is almost magical to my soul as I begin to slow down for the year. Though this time I might not slow down as much as usual. You won’t disappoint this year, I can already tell.

“October is like home to me; and I’m homesick”
